Is that punter who muffed that snap the same "Jimmy Carlen" who went on to coach at South Carolina, West Virginia, and Texas Tech, among others? Does anybody know that?

I love how the QBs fake calling signals for the cameras. "Notre Dame QB calling signals!" LOL.
-
BTW GT Finished #8 in the AP and #9 in the UPI (Coaches Poll)
-
Notre Dame finished 9-0-1 (their only tie coming in their last game vs Iowa 14-14) and ranked #2 in both polls behind Maryland, who was named National Champions before losing 7-0 to Oklahoma (A team the Irish defeated in September, the last game the Sooners would lose for 48 straight) in the Orange Bowl in the days when they voted before the bowl games. GT finished 9-2-1, their only other loss was 13-6 against Alabama on Nov. 14. GT beat West Virginia 42-19 in the Sugar Bowl.
-
Notre Dame was ranked #1 while GT was ranked #4 in both polls going into this game
-
During that 31-game unbeaten streak, GT only drew twice; 14-14 vs Duke in 1951 and a scoreless draw against Florida just four weeks before this game
