Burns Brian May "special" Blues Cornford Harlequin guitar jam

A little blues ditty played on my Brian May "special". This guitar has a pair of Gibson SG humbuckers with the coils split. Utilizing a 5 way strat switch to get neck humbucker, neck single coil, both humbuckers, bridge single coil, bridge humbucker. Single volume and tone.

this guit!! going to purchase it in the next days... i prefer the individuell settings of this guitar... play in my band a strat, and i think it isn´t very "exotic". A lot of people rocking on a strat. Try both and decide...

Hum....I think the "right" Strat, but the BM is easier to play and might be easier to find a nice one....if you go for a Strat look out for the MIJ ones, they are very good, although I didn't like the pickups!

Oh, a Fender MIJ is the real deal, just made in Japan toa very high spec....that's what mine is.....

I have to say that I wouldn't change the pick-ups on a red special. I'd just play a different guitar. Then again, it's your guitar and you do know how to play it exceptionally well :-)

i have a strat and one of these guitars, plus a custom built SG clone and I love them all, all give me options the others dont, but for a smooth silky fretboard and more unique tone, and range of tones, I find this guitar nails it. i understand the ex burns version is now made by BM's own company, and looks and plays in a similar way. i really do like the sound of those pups in this burns, very cool
