  • TrackIR is for simulating your Head movement not your gun/aiming. It would be better if you used your mouse for aiming and head for looking around... like on ArmA

  • Yes, it doesn't work the same as you are showing here.

This is like for example using a drawing-tablet to aim.

When you go off-center it will keep going that direction until you go back to center again.

The point of the TrackIR, as I understand it, is to track the position of your head.

So when you turn your head left, it will put the vision to the left.

As you probably know, so in BF2142 it is simply not supported.

It moves the aim and the whole weapon, instead of just the head thus view.

  • Will do, Thanks!:D

  • Hey bud, google Free-Track IR

  • got a link?? I would like to try it

  • Y pay for an IR Tracker, if you want to try it then download FREE TRACK.. Works with your webcam and works the same as the ir tracker..

  • Personally i think its useless technology right now. BUT. It is a step in the direction that we want to go. Some day tech like this will evolve into star trek like holo-decks. Maybe within our life time. Its all about the demand of the consumer. If everyone wants it, we'll get it faster.

  • Everyone thinks this, but they're the people who haven't tried it out. TrackIR exaggerates your head movements and you can cutomise it for ease of use.

  • exactly. Anunn. These videos are useless. Ugh.

  • That thing ain't really meant to be used to replace a mouse.

  • u dont have to turn ur head the full way idiot u only got to movie it like 45 degrees to look 180 in game

  • Its cool technology... Except the problem is, to do all this movement you gotta turn your head, but keep your eyes fixed on a stationary screen. I don't wanna be turning my head to the left and moving my eyes to the right to make sure i'm not over shooting or anything stupid... If the screen was attached to a headset into an almost sim world... That'd be better. Look around to find the enemies. Then again... This is a step towards Star Trek's holo-deck. Within 50 years. Mark my words.
