Ever been to the Winter Magic Festival in Katoomba? "No, what's that?", I hear you say. Well you should get a feel for this fantastic Blue Mountains event from the unique perspectives of the participants from Sylvanvale Foundation in this years festival.

Four Panasonic HD digital video cameras were floating around on the day capturing a variety of footage. Re-live the colour, costumes, sounds and characters from the event!

"The magic of winter" Sylvanvale website news article explains further......

If you were passing through Katoomba on Saturday 18th June, you were in for a treat. The winter air was crisp, fresh and definitely full of magic. The cool winds of winter brought with it something special. That something was the Blue Mountains Winter Magic Festival.
Drums and music reverberated through the peaceful mountain village and locals and travellers alike embraced the spirit of the day.
The festival encourages social and cultural expression. There was definitely no shortage of enthusiasm from festival-goers, including from the Sylvanvale Foundation contingent. Sylvanvale took to the streets with thousands of other people and joined in the festivities for the third year running.
The centrepiece of the event was the parade, in which Sylvanvale marched, strolled and rolled in with pride. Staff and residents wore magical-themed fancy dress, blew whistles and banged on drums along the parade route. If you looked carefully you saw fairies, scarecrows, witches, wizards and magicians all flying the Sylvanvale flag.
The Katoomba Devils Footballers also got into the spirit of the day and teamed with Sylvanvale. The throng of strong footballers lent two strong hands and helped push Sylvanvale's wheelchair participants along the parade route.
The beauty of the festival is that the magic doesn't last for just one day -- the experience lives on in the hearts and minds of everyone who participated.
