Join us for shopping fun as we tour the Bay Antique Mall looking for depression glass.

First we found some great pieces of Central etched vintage stemware including the Thistle pattern. We have Central Thistle cocktails, rather hard to find vintage stemware here. http://www.tias.com/9594/PictPage/3923208078.html

Next on the tour is a wonderful Horseshoe yellow depression glass platter. Indiana Glass made Horseshoe in yellow and green and it's one of the prettiest patterns.

Fostoria Glass made many etches including Beverly on green elegant depression glass. We found a rare oval console bowl with a rolled rim - beautiful piece of glassware.

One of the fun pieces was a green depression glass footed cake plate. People made cakes from scratch during the depression and served them on fancy plates like this one. It's pretty neat.

One seller had Sharon pink depression glass cups, saucers and dinner plates. Her display was pretty with red hearts. Sharon is called Cabbage Rose and is just beautiful, fresh and perfect for spring with big exuberant flowers.

We found a very nice Cherry Blossom green depression glass creamer. It was a bit pricey so we passed on it, but what a nice piece and authentic.

Another seller had several Cambridge Decagon pink cups and salad plates. Nice glass from a high end elegant glassware company.

One of my favorite patterns is Cambridge Windows Border etch and we found a center handled server in amber. Cambridge made colored glass during the depression era.

We passed up a set of pretty vintage china due to too much crazing.

Starlight clear depression glass from Hazel Atlas is one of the most affordable depression patterns and we found a good size display.

Two pieces I did buy were a Florentine #2 Poppy yellow cream soup with two handles and a Hocking Old Colony pink cereal bowl. Very nice depression glass!

Once we got home I pulled out some pieces from our store to show you the pattern better in close ups.

We show Indiana Horseshoe green plate, which is listed here: http://www.tias.com/9594/InventoryPage/1982597/1.html

It was a little hard to see the lovely Fostoria Beverly etch so let's see this bouillon cup. Bouillon cups have two handles and were used for clear soups during the 1930s. Here is the Beverly bouillon cup in our store. http://www.tias.com/9594/PictPage/3923509163.html

Sharon Cabbage Rose is one of the most popular patterns and you can find Sharon glass online without too much difficulty. One of the less common pieces is the soup bowl which we included to show off the pattern. We have Sharon in our store here: http://www.tias.com/9594/InventoryPage/1810347/1.html

Most pieces of Cambridge Decagon have 10 sides (which makes it easy!) and Cambridge used it for many etched patterns. We show the plain blue Decagon creamer so you can see the shape clearly. We have a few pieces of blue and pink Decagon here. http://www.tias.com/9594/InventoryPage/1976152/1.html

We included a close up of the Cambridge Windows Border amber cup and saucer so you could enjoy the luscious etch. Here it is in our store. http://www.tias.com/9594/InventoryPage/1616752/1.html

The last close up is Starlight clear depression glass creamer. Poor Starlight! It isn't quite a star at the moment. It's a good pattern to consider if you like a bit of sparkle. Starlight pieces have pleasing shapes. We have just a few pieces here: http://www.tias.com/9594/InventoryPage/1616748/1.html
