The lab team was in Fontana, North Carolina conducting experiments on water flow from the top of the Fontana Dam (Tallest Dam East of the Rockies) to the base. One team member choose to make the trek from the top of the dam to the base via the legendary Hellbender section of highway 29 on a SE5 equipped Can Am Spyder Roadster. It certainly wasn't a direct route but it did provide for an entertaining experiment.
