@Paladine71 No. This is one of those cases where I find there is no reason to spend money on either of the two vehicles in question. They're not that good - only afterimages of the original. To each their own I suppose.

@epcdaniel I'm not arguing that. I agree that the H1 / HMMWV is the king. My argument is that the H2 and H3 still have merit. I routinely drive an H3 Alpha offroad and it's a beast. It has nothing to do with bias, I grew up in Jeeps and pick-ups. What aggrivates me is when people condemn an entire vehicle without justification. Often, what the crowd accepts as fact, is completely wrong. This is one of those cases.

@Paladine71 Jeeps are horrible. We (friends and I) laugh when we see Jeeps spilled over on their lids. H2s and H3s are status symbols based off the popularity of the H1. They cannot be compared to the H1. The H1 ultimately gained a 600+ lb ft torque engine, while the H2 only accomplished 420ft lbs, with increased power output for daily driving. It was focussed on being what it is - an SUV, not a heavy duty vehicle. The H3 makes 100 less torque and hp than the H2. The H1 rules the roost!

@epcdaniel There are some parts that were taken from other GM vehicles, but the vast majority (nearly 90%) are unique to Hummers. Like any other vehicle, they have limitations (weight and size on some trails), but so does every other vehicle made. Jeeps, for example, are underpowered, uncomfortable and have a nasty habit of rolling over. If they design the perfect vehicle, I'm sure that we'll all own it. The military doesn't use civilian Hummers because they are .... civilian vehicles.

@conkyone Wrong, liberalism is our flag ship of stupidity. Hummers are great vehicles, so good that even China has begun production of vehicles copying them because of their capability.

@epcdaniel That's what I figured. You have no idea what you're talking about. You think that you're being cool by jumping on two vehicles that are widely condemned by people that have never owned or driven them. The truth is, you are voicing an opinion based on assumptions and misinformation. If you would ever take an H3 offroad, you'd know that no other stock civilian vehicle is as capable. Since you have no real experience, your condemnation is worthless, as is your opinion.

@Paladine71 They're crappy knockoffs. Bulky bodies put on regular truck frames. I don't need to offroad in them - they're shittily built. Get over it. The H1 can pull down a house, while the H2 loses wheels with broken steering knuckles. haha. Oh man, stop trying to defend poorly built junk.
