[Need for Speed: SHIFT] Actual Gameplay Footage (with ATI Radeon HD 4870)

Need for Speed SHIFT is a brand new racing game with Need for Speed franchise.
Developed by Slightly Mad Studios and published by Electronics Arts.

SHIFT features reality driving experience, deep car modification, and driving style system - player will be determined as precision or aggression driver.

This video clip present the visual effect such like motion blur.
Color will gone with blur effect when you hit onto walls or something else.

I'm not good at racing game. Please do not leave comment like "You are lame driver."

I play this game with my Logitech Dual Action controller.

Here is the driving setting:

AI Difficulty: Medium
Handling Model: Normal
Steering Assist: Low
Braking Assist: Off
Anti-lock Brakes: On
Traction Control: High
Stability Control: On
Damage Effect: Full
Automatic Clutch: On
Gears: Automatic

The graphics setting is highest.

Here is my computer specification:
CPU: Intel Core i7-920
RAM: Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 (DDR3-1333, 2GB*3)
VGA: HIS H4870FN1GP (ATi Radeon HD4870)

It's seem the game didn't optimize for ATi users, the graphics looks bad than other nVIDIA cards users.

Racing isn't really made for pc's. i haven't decide which way to go,pc or buy it for 360. :)

If u don't want get fucked up like this, just buy a console version. but if u r a nVIDIA user, PC version won't let you down.

Definitively the optimization for ATi it's the worst ever... I have a Core 2 Quad, 4 Gb's RAM Corsair and a Ati HD 4870 1 gb and not very high graphic config but in tokio circuit in many curves and in the begining and at "laguna seca" in the corkscrew (for example, many other circuits too) game slows down from 40-60 fps to 15-20, doesn't matter the graphic configuration. At these points always slows down to 15-20...

I hope they solve it with a patch because it's impossible to play...

EA released a patch today, but it's only for NA edition or EU edition......damn, I bought a Asia edition, the only thing I can do now is waiting a patch for my version......

And that patch mentioned is "Added LAN function and fully compatible with mouse", WTF.

ah..nobody is going to buy a need for speed..everyone..old need for speed players play even now a retextured NFS high stakes, with a converter to dx8 and with that a converter of enb series for gta 3..dx8 to dx9..with some bloom,blur,reflection...effect­s

Some guys writes to eletronic arts..but then it comes out a stupid game like nfs pro street..yeah..its like the old need for speed..but its not that.A game that i play now is test drive unlimited..sorry for my english..im stupid

Actually, SHIFT is my first NFS game, cuz the trailers really looks promising.

And here is what I got, a idiot game fucked up with ATi graphics cards.

Anyway, maybe someday I'll buy "Test Drive Unlimited".

Cool game I certainly like 2:32 I managed to get it online for my ps3 for free here 115 games. com There is a load of PS3 games there I couldnt beleive that they are all free too rad game and website

I had great expectation about the game,(i just bout it 3hours ago) but the moment i played, i felt like being screwed. there is no way to remap the control. Sorry for xbox player but i'm really used to the X button for the throttle ans square for the brake. How stupid it is to change that and not to allow player to remap?! Really disapointed EA!!! i hope they will fix it by an update or something
