Very interesting! I don't know the specifications of an Apple IIe, but if that was rendered in real time instead of frame-by-frame it's a tremendous piece of processing. Hidden line removal and all. Wow.
What do the numbers at the bottom signify? Some parameter fed to the Bessel function/s?
@zh84 Over 25 years ago but to the best of my recollection for the Bessel figure each frame took
about 60 seconds to calculate (300,000 floating point calculations) and about 60 seconds to photograph.
A positionable color wheel placed Red, Green and Blue filters over the camera lens then the
corresponding image was displayed. Switching display modes from graphics mode to an empty text mode
acted as a second shutter.
