  • Such lovely music - meaningful, romantic...making you want to sing - dance, both...and be held. I miss this kind of music terribly, that leaves you in 'a cloud' thinking/feeling and remembering ! I hope to discover "Lost Up Here In the Stars" my other favorite....this is wonderful !

  • I'm so happy to see this!

It's impossible to have a favorite song..But if I did "Speak Low' might be it.

And to have Kurt Weill singing it!

I love Ute Lemper singing this song on her Kurt Weill CD.

  • I adore upright bass intro

!! Great Charlie Haden. I bought an upright bass because of this song!

  • @drdogan1

Thanks for letting me know! I will have to keep an eye out for it.

  • @chansonex ....the dvd is out there...a gem of music...fim and dance....marvellous

  • @tomasrugha This was taken from an episode of Great Performances on PBS shown back in the mid to late 1990's, if I am not mistaken. It was a collection of short film interpretations of Kurt Weill's music. It is absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, I don't think they've released it on DVD? You can buy the CD though. It looks like bobby4000 has posted many of the songs though. Yay! Hopefully, the above information is correct... if not, someone correct please? Thanks. :)

  • nice !...

  • Would love to know more about this. Where was it performed and who are the dancers? an older man and younger , taller woman doing a tango-ish dance to the beautiful music with the author singing his own song

Gary Vila Ortiz. Rosario. Argentina.

  • this is the best version of the song i've ever heard!
