Just a simple phone recording of the AFX going through a Mesa 2:90 and 4x12 cab.
I'm running the Recto New amp mod with just a compressor in front, nothing too fancy. Guitar is an old Ibanez RG7. Pardon the sloppy playing and string noise.
Dude, I have a question for ya.... Im getting my axe fx today, Im gettin a 2:90 power amp to use it. They told me theres 3 simulations, preamp, power amp and cab, is it true? if it is, in that case I have to cancel the last 2 simulations or just the cab simulation to get the best tone?
@ivansandoval777 Keep the power amp sim on. I know it sounds like it'd be a funky thing to do, but trust me and all the other AFX videos on the web, keeping the power amp sim on and just lowering the depth knob is the way to go. It sounds more real this way and less digital.
@ivansandoval777 Oh and to be clear, turn the cabinet simulator off if you're going through a real power amp and speaker cab. Everything else should stay active. Have fun with it!!
