To Chabba77, The NBC-TV Logo has a "Stylized Bicentennial N Logo" created in the fall of 1975 & debuted on-the-air on 1/1/1976. NBC-TV brought back in 1979 as The Proud N & The Peacock has 11 Feathers & in 1986 has the current 6-Feather Peacock.

Notice that they were using an NBC logo on the set that was outdated by two years. They still had the red and blue "N" logo from 1975. The N was updated in 1979 with the addition of the peacock. Since they became an NBC affiliate in 1979, they should have used the new logo. Also, notice the music bed used for the stock report. That would be used later for "Ask NBC News", shown between commercials on Saturday mornings like CBS's "In The News".
