After my FAILED attempt at a braid out in November 2010, I decided to give it another try...
I'm sooo happy I did! It turned out FAB!

Products used: Water & conditioner spritz: Water, Jojoba oil, Shea Moisture Leave In

To braid: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque & my homemade creamy shea butter mix...

  • damn girl, your 4c hair looks looks WAY flyer than than my 3c-4b hair! i gots to learn your secrets! :D

  • @LadyObjection LOL, Thank you! :)

  • I’m glad you asked for the clarification. Many naturals I know feel that 3c hair is more desirable that 4c textured hair. So when I say someone is "trying to be 3c" what I mean is aesthetically they would like to have 3c hair-which is seen as being more manageable, thus desirable. It is an opinion based on personal observation, nothing more and nothing less. Have a great day.

  • @phillyinnyc I never asked for clarification, I actually agreed with you, but if someone else did thanks for explaining what you meant.

  • I don't think your 2010 braid was a failure...it looked really nice. The crimps/waves were a bit tighter, but they both looked nice. My 4C hair is outta control and I am having trouble with the frizz control.

  • @BluGyrl Thank you very much....I have to be careful when separating or else I will have a frizzy mess! I just keep my hands out of it.....which is very hard to do LOL

  • Damn girl, I'm looking you from France, and your hairs and your style are SO fly! My hairs are 4C type too, but I can't retain length as well as you do, I gotta find the right routine. You give me hope, Imma spend my night watching your vids and trying to follow your example. Thank you for sharing!

  • @phillyinnyc How do individuals "try" to be a 3c, 4a, or 4b? Isn't the typing according to the pattern of bends, waves, or coils in the hair? How do "you" determine a 4c "trying" to be something else?

  • @tgill37379 Thank you!! :)

  • Beautiful..now and then!
