Great to see one of these on the road. I do a website showcasing classic British cars, and I just did a video of one of these (AH 100-4) from the Philadelphia Auto Show 2012. Early racer that set speed records at Bonneville in 1953. If you go to my channel, you can see it.

As you guys have already noted, this is not a 3000, but a lovely example of the 100-4, or "Healey Hundred" as they were called. I owned 4 of these in rapid succession when I was a teen in high school. Wonderful/horrible cars. Windscreed laid down bkwrds for speed. Bought my first one for $200. Today they start at $35,000 here in the States. Positive ground, funky wiring, tricky gearboxes, no cure for cockpit heat, but I'd own another in a moment if I hadn't discovered the Datsun Z.

They built the 100-4 from 1953 (I had one) to 1956. Two series in that time frame; a BN1 and BN2. The biggest difference was the gear box. Went from a 3-speed to a 4-speed.

This is not a 3000 but a 100/4 from 1954 or 1955.
