@BassHead563 it's not any particular frequency that's detrimental to your hearing...it's the decibel level. that's why you can lose hearing with engine roars or explosions or even whistles, crickets or sirens...i've studied the cochlea in depth during my ENT rotation. trust me pal, you don't want to expose the cochlea to anything above 95 dB, especially if the Doppler effect is coming into play. however, it just so happens that the first hearing to go is the high frequency sound perception...
