@katzparov Whether it's Jesuis Malade, Perder L'amore, J'taime, Caruso, Adagio or Broken Vow or the endless list of other songs...........She is absolutely incredible.

@kingsassassin1 Better vibrato range or sustain by some others........There are many other great opera singers who may be able to boast just that.....BUT...........One of many incredible things to me about LARA'S voice is that INCREDIBLE "TONE" on certain notes that is just mind boggling. Those notes that hit that special spot inside as we hear it.
She is one incredible talent..........Who is tremendous in many many songs.............Not just a few big songs.

Does any one know the English translation of this song? It's so beautiful and I would really like to know what she is singing.

Beautiful voice and performance Ms. Fabian. And yes, yes, yes I've heard everyone from Callas to Netrebko do this piece and I still love your performance. Bravo!

I just read many of the comments. I feel the people leaving negative comments do not get the whole picture. Would they rather she imitate some operatic diva and then rake her over the coals for doing just that. Get a life. Let Lara sing.
Lara's interpretation of Addio Del Passato is just that. An interpretation. She may not be a true operatic diva like Gheorghiu or Caballe', but atleast she is classically trained and can venture into their world with some success. I doubt that the reverse is true. To honestly critique Lara Fabian, one must do so in her world. And, in her world, she has few peers. Some have better range, better vibrato, better sustain. Few are exceptional at all these. Lara does it all and in 4 languages.

what is justice to a piece?
one sings a song - some like your version some do not.
i listened to Maria Callas and Teresa Stratas. And I understand what you say about experienced singers and the sound of their voices. But I can't help it, i prefer Fabians version. The educated opera voices do not mean much to me. So I guess I am not an educated listener.
Why not having different versions for different people? Makes sence to me.
