Reading these lyrics, with knowledge that After the Fire are christians, gives light to what and who they are singing about. This is well before U2 came along sort of bought the christian faith out of the church.

I bought this album on vinyl from a second hand record shop in Dundee in the mid 80s whilst at University, having heard a cassette version of the album. Was something out of the ordinary in that I'd heard nothing like it before. A fantastic album, which I still retained on cassette until several years ago when they re-released the album on CD. A great day!
