sorry but i feel he was where he wanted to be he enjoyed being in nootka sound...and the First Nations are not to blame for him not being moved...he loved nootka sound...and he was killed...accidents happen...and everything happens ofr a reason.
I find it ironic all of the marine biologists, scientists, and whoever else took part in "watching" him, urged people to stay away from him, yet they all interacted and touched him, its in numerous videos. A bit hypocritical I think...If the whale wanted human companionship then give it to him...just closely monitor it.
