  • i really must say that all you out there telling the experts not to touch the joeysc are d1ckeads!!! these people know what they are doing and are doing their best for these animals! Go back to you desk jobs and do some bloody work instead of watching YouTube!

  • @robmcewannz Thanks heaps for your comment. Wish everyone would realise these joeys were not touched every minute of every day. We maybe looked at them one time each week and the mothers were very relaxed about the whole thing. Plus.........we would challenge anyone to try and do what we did with a kangaroo that was not complaint with the whole thing!! Thanks again for your support. And yes both joeys grew to be mothers themselves.

  • @RooGully that's good, I would hate to see it get sick or anything

  • @Tyundra Thanks. Both joeys went on to become very healthy adults and have joeys of their own.

  • I feel like she shouldn't touch it 0__o what if she makes it sick with all that touching

  • @Tyundra No we didn't make it sick. The mother trusted us and hands were clean. And we went to have a good relationship with the joey.

  • This is nature, even if they ate it. We all think humans interefere with nature but our actions are natural too. Humans building a sckyscraper are no different from beavers building a dam. It's interesting to me how people view human interaction to other animals as unnatural but view something like lions eating gazelles as natural. I don't know why I felt like saying all of this.

  • Seeing as joey development had never been documented before in such scientific detail it was vital observational research, especially to those caring for and trying to raise these vulnerable babies if their mothers are shot or killed in road accidents. Both mothers were content to allow us to observe their joeys, and both joeys grew to beautiful adults, mothers themselves AND still living at Roo Gully. As for someone watching a human baby develop ...well what so scans do??
