This is the 5th time I have driven Odessa. She is doing really well. In this video she is tossing her head a lot more than she has on previous drives because per a suggestion I tried a loose flash on her to try and quiet her mouth down and she isn't happy. I will be gong back to no flash for a while because she has improved dramatically without the flash. The first few times I long lined her, her tongue was flapping all over the place as she tried to figure it out. She seems the quietest in an eggbutt straight bar wrapped w/latex but I have an ultimate tongue relief driving bit on order from Advanced Equine. She is used to an overcheck and probably not very educated hands so hopefully she will learn to trust me with time. I have also used side reins while long lining a few times to take my less than trained hands out of the mix as well and she is OK with that.
