it's a double salchow. A triple salchow would have two and a half rotations. A double "only" has one and a half.
-
1 and a half is a double salchow if it were 2 or 2 and a half then it would b a triple or overrotsated double

she did a full double, look online even though it is called a double there is only one and a half rotations
-
okay. now i know what i'm doing wrong
-
just a little advice, make sure your foot crosses over completely. it will help you pull in tighter so you can rotate faster. good jump though!
-
@iare07 no a double salchow has 2 full rotations and a triple salchow has 3
-
That wasn't cheated. You people do your double Salchows just like that and don't even realize it! You can't do a Salchow without your left foot touching the ice when you're forward. If that foot wasn't still touching the ice you would never get enough momentum to even to a single. That was a perfect double Sal, okay. Her arms are moving in sync with the leg, she's not pre-rotating either. Why does everyone have to be so critical? Watch pro skaters doing it, they do it the same way.

@estebanz3 yeah shes prerotating it too much
-
ya i guess ur right but i was speaking techinically bcuz i've always been taught to take off forward
-
@cornisyummy7 a double salchow is 2. technically since you sort of take off forward, it could be 1 and a half, but its supposed to be 2.

that was not cheated! she landed backward on the correct foot and edge and everything!
