  • You're back, great!

Any chance to watch the jackson js series review?

  • @Charlie665bass - I still answer questions, but right now, no videos in the works. My Jackson review will appear in the pages of Bass Player magazine, but no video. Sorry.

  • Hello Ed,

Thank you for your response. I was curious as to how the slapping/plucking is on this bass? I have heard some comments that there isn't much room with the pick-ups.

    Thanks

  • @PigeonFwaBorgon - It's a little tight, but I could do it no problem.

  • @A7XGroupie767 - If they want to play melodies or chords.

  • @RJiminez51 it might, but that bass is the shit

  • @SegataSanshiroRule Ah well! Hope you ended up with something you're happy with now, sorry that that happened to you :(. I like Basswood, but each to their own as you said!

  • @AttitudeCastle That's what I tought too so I shipped it back to ernie ball they changed the preamp and the battery slot when it came back it was pretty much has bad has it was before :( and basswood is just to light weighted for my taste it doesn't deliver as much roundness as mahagony for example but that's just a personnal preference.

  • @SegataSanshiroRule Sounds faulty if the preamp was like that?

    And what's wrong with Basswood?

  • wanted this bass so bad because jhon myung used it, ended up getting it and was really disapointed about it. The preamp was noisy has F**K, The tone was too boomy, buzzy and lacked punch and i'm also not a big fan of Basswood. I got to say the neck felt pretty great and it looks pretty killer but except from the good craftmanship the tone was awfull from my perspective, ended sellling a year after I got it :(

  • i want one just because Myung uses them. they are a bit too pricey though :/

  • It looks gray to me, but in an Egyptian smokey way.
