This is Paul Brett's Aria signature 12 string guitar. There was also a six string released at the same time. Both models were released in the mid 1970's and have become extremely collectable instruments. Guitar magazine rated them along with John Joyce's JJ models as the best guitars to have been manufactured in Japan during that period. NOTE: The site you see of the birds, flocking on the Cob in Pwllheli was filmed in late Oct early Nov 2008 and was a spontaneous event. However, it may be the last time this wonderful sight may happen as Gwynedd Council in it's infinite stupidity, has demolished all the rare reed beds and trees on the far side of the water under the guise of long term flood protection at which they are not coherent as to exactly what flooding it will prevent. This, despite receiving a ££££££ grant seveal years ago to PROTECT this environment. This year the birds did not gather here.
I've never heard such a nice chewy sound from a 12 stringer <3

I'm sure I saw Paul at the Half Moon in Putney in the 70's. It was a folk/rock gig but he played Concierto de Aranjuez on a steel string as I recall. Never forget it -Tremendous guitarist.

This is a truly remarkable video!
It has all the right ingredients to produce a unique moment of beauty. Paul's uplifting guitar composition against the breathtaking landscape of North Wales, and THE BIRDS who little by little become an integral part of the piece as they soar and dance together in the sky! .
Do the birds give Paul inspiration or is it Paul who gradually becomes leaders of the birds, enticing them to move to his tune?
Thank you, Paul and Michele!
