Tweakers.net HQ - 10/4/09: 3x HD5870 and W3540 benched on EVGA Classified by Viss (loc.o), Snot_aap and Extera. Running @ 5231Mhz on the cpu, 1200/1225 on the cards. This is one of the runs before breaking the world record with a score of 183,959 3DMarks.

I have 2 - 5870s Always wondered why I am getting 27000-28000 in 3dmark vantage with 2 and barely and someone is managing to get 40k + now i see why lol. Originally had 3 but sold one because I couldnt seem to get much benefit from the 3rd. Mind you I couldnt overclock to 5.2 Ghz with my cooling on the CPU so that may be a bottleneck. Liquid nitrogen hahaha. Might suggest that I need this to my wife just to see her reaction )

Thats cuz of the lack of CPU power.
You GPU power will be unleashed at very high resolutions.
