duplicate you footage layer twice, add Colorado filter, change preset palette to ramp gray, in about 9 o'clock click to add a black color to crush all black color in footage, and in about 11 o'clock click to add white color to crush whites, just make sure the edges between back and white in the footage is sharp. now take the layer undresses it and change the track matte to Luma Inverted Matte.
this way all areas that contained white turned into a transparency in another word you keyed out the skies and now you can easily replace it with anything you want.
