@nicktesla45 700lbf isn't actually a lot of force, not unless it was delivered to the head. Now you're talking about jabbing with the opponent until they are weak enough for a big move. This is a common and outdated method in fighting.
Keep in mind, Tony Jaa never actually learned Muay Thai, in but Muay Koshashan
Yes, Martial Arts is for self defense, not sport. But people comopete in sport to test their abilities against others. Thats what Combat Sports is originally intended for

@nicktesla45 It mostly depends on experience that determines how you react to specific movements. Not a lot of Professional Fighters have been exposed to Taekwondo before, they're mostly Kickboxers and Muay Thai fighters so they're very conventional, and conventional warfare never helped the Europeans.
What people think is Big in Taekwondo, isn't. Out of all martial arts, this is a fact, TKD is the only MA that uses Cambering techniques. Cambering lets you fight in small spaces.

I agree about Muai Thai and I would never use it At the Offeset HOWEVER after your Opponent is Dazed from Half a Dozen Blows you can come in with a Tony Jaa Type of knee to the head that can deliver Over 700 pounds of Pounds of Impact Pressure that can send his ass to the Promised Land.. OR you can use an Eagles Claw that can Scrabble his brains like an Egg Omelete . But as you can see Martial arts is more than Just a hobby to me , It is Survival and NOT a Sport .

@hazza3 I guess Your reaction time's a lot longer than mine and I DO have excelent Periferal vision .It is very clear from my observations that a lot of people in diffrent arts telegraph their moves Before they make them . I Hardly ever telegraph what I am gonna do . And I hardly ever deliver a single punch or kick . I usualy come come in with a Combination of 5 or 6 blows all from diffrent Angles and delivered in less than 5 seconds. But I Must Confess I been in Kenpo about 30 years .
-
@nicktesla45 I have 9 years in Taekwondo and I assure you, there are very few techniques that are easy to "telegraph". I know for a fact that its hard to see a Side kick coming straight to your face.
Muay Thai, now that is easy to read because of its big moves and short range techniques. 4 years traing in Muay Thai.

TKD Sucks ! It is so Damn Predictable , They usualy telegraph their moves ahead of time ! And all that Jumping around is a Big waste of energy . It's an art for Idiots .

@MultiFred50 no , you are ignorant , for not getting a joke .
-
@MultiFred50 jutsu means to do something/skill , pussy jutus is being skilled at being a pussy. its a joke ...... TW is useless for self defense .
-
taekwondo is not jiu jitsu it is both a self defense and sport for self defense called hosinsull is similar to karate and jujitsu but for sport it uses body armor
-
ur an ignorant
I wish there were more girls interested in Taekwondo or any martial art for that matter. I find girls who practice martial arts more attractive than girls who are "too girly" and men like women who they can share their interests with.
