I happen to live in one of the hardest hit areas of the Seattle Snow Storm. My town got an avg of 17 inches of snow. On my farm we've been seeing areas covered up to 3 feet in snow. Without any power or running water, only propane, we boiled snow to keep warm, melted snow to feed the livestock and weathered the storm. At the time of filming I had no clue we were the worst hit.

  • Thanks for sharing. It's delightful to hear about you ... also about the other animals from the comments. Here in Kingston, I'm dealing only with cabin fever, downed trees, & power outages.

It's good to see how others are faring through these videos. Thanks again.

  • @TheHosteenez I have cabin fever, too! I haven't been anywhere since the first snow started a few days before the big drop. But I really need to get out or else my animals will starve. I am hoping to go out tomorrow.

  • Bonnie If you have any solar lights outdoors bring them in at nightime for light...then put them back out in the daytime to recharge.............

  • @mukwah1111 We have a solar flashlight ;)

  • How are the bee's doing in this??

  • @kastnmagic We did lose bees. There are 2 hives left that we need to check but the others did not survive. That's a bummer but there's nothing I can do at this point. They get closed up for the year in the fall and I can't open it again unless we get a warm day.

  • you've got lucky not having -25C after that storm :)

  • Snowmageddon...you might not be too far off the mark there. :) I heard Oregon got some very unusual sandstorms. I expect to see an increase in such things.

  • Nice little film. Can't believe all that snow. Here in the UK its a balmy 11 degrees. Stay warm.

  • I live in Seattle/Renton & we had a ton of snow but thank God our power didn't go out, my Mother In Law lives in Auburn & her electricity went out yesterday & probably won't be back on until sometime tomorrow. Crazy weather here in WA.

  • @EdentiaFarms - Oh. Thanks for the update.

That on again/off again routine is a form of psycho-torture all its own.

  • wow that's alot of snow hope you stay safe and keep warm!
