Toshiba Dyndock U Overview with Satellite A505-S6999 - Before & After Installation

This is a brief overview and before and after look of the Toshiba Dynadock U. It's a universal USB docking station meant to unclutter your laptop accessories. It has a built in video card, which allows you to add up to 2 monitors through the docking station via DVI and VGA. It also has a built in sound card with optical out for 7.1 surround sound. I have not tested that function yet. I find this to be a very useful accessory for multitasking and organizing your desk. I haven't tested how well the video feed for games is, but so far it's pretty decent.

for christmas i want to get my sister a laptop. she is not that tech savy and she already has a moninior and keyboard ext. point being that if i gave this to her with the laptop could she still play her little games she plays (sims 3/2)? would be great if you could get back to me.

@RealinAmerica I was able to play Star Trek Online on this laptop without a problem so your sister should be able to play the Sims.

Is it possible to hook up 2 screen`s to the dynadock U cause it has VGA and DVI ???

@alfamale81 Yes, it is possible to hook-up an additional 2 (two) monitors for a total of 3 including your laptop.

Nice presentation. I recommended the video to friends. My notebook and my connections at home were no far of what you saw in this video before I purchased a Docking Station. I have a Keyb. and Mouse wireless, a monitor, printer, external hard drive, external CD/DVD, Speakers, I connect my Memory Stick and my Phone to my Notebook Ferrari One 200 Series, and it was a pain in the neck to disconnect all of that and go, now is just one USB.

@ManuGinobili1977 It is performing very well as my main workstation at home. I do all my video editing on it and even played a little Star Trek Online with it with no issues at all. I'm very impressed with its speed and stability in running all the new applications. Granted, I don't do heavy duty work on it, but it does what it needs to do and has served me well while my gaming PC gets built. Yes, it has a backlit keyboard.
