Outlander (casting)

Ok, so, I watch all the Outlander videos and I loved them all. Here's my attempt at it.
All names of the actors/actresses I chose to play our beloved Outlander characters are at the end of the video.
I had the most difficulty with Jamie. I believe that if ever outlander was poduced into a movie an "unknown" would have to play his part. But in the mean time I use Gabriel Aubry- who isn't even an actor but a model. I liked that he had a long nose, slanty eyes and a wide smile - dye his hair red and we might have something. lol.
Lastly, Thank You Diana Gabaldon for creating an amazing and unforgettable series!

I have seen a number of these and this is very high on the list. I am not sure I like Claire and Jamie.. I think that Black Jack and Frank have to be one in the same; I think Johnny Depp is a better Furgus, than Orlando Blum...and I prefer Scarlett for Loigenhaire, not Gellis Duncan; I think I'll watch again and think some more! I'm not in favor of making an Outlander film. Films never does any books justice. This cast is highly ambitious if you ask me. Also, I might add financially impossible. There is no way, I'd want Johnny Depp as Jack Randall. I really can't imagine anyone as Jamie Fraser. I wouldn't want some casting person to take away from my imagination of Jamie and Claire.

Yes, logically, these people will never do a movie together. If Outlander were put put to film, I would hope for mostly all unknowns, especially for Jamie's part ;) This video is just for fun, you know, putting faces to characters we love<3

Very good view on the casting for these characters...a possible change for Jamie Fraser I would think ...would be Gerard Butler..and he is so Scottish..sexy scotsman. But...I actually thought of the same people to play the majority of these characters...awesome job! Now all we need is it to actually materialize...before any of them are too old to actually play these parts...;)

Thanks =D I agree that Gerard Butler would make an amazing Jamie (I think that is a very popular opinion, and for good reason, Butler is ymmmy ;)). He would make a great Jamie in "Older" years, but I wonder if his age allow him to play a 24 year old Jamie... I definetley think someone should get on casting the film right now! =D

@MoDuinne7 I may be the only person who thinks Gerard Butler is just...gross. He has the height, or close enough, but there's just something repulsive about him to me. And he looks nothing like Jamie. I don't know, if we're going with legit Scottish actors the only person I could go for, in lieu of any other ideas, is Kevin McKidd.

There are som good matches for all but Frank Randall. The person who plays Black Jack Randall also needs to play Frank, because they looked so much alike, that Claire couldn't believe she went back in time 200 years. Also, of the two you have picked oout to play the two parts, Johnny Depp would be the better of the two.
