As we waited on the next train we knew that we were in for a two-fer.

YouTube user FastFlyingVirginian heard a northbound call the signals at North Ashland and shortly after I heard it call the Doswell signals I had gotten word from Dave (FastFlyingVirginian) that we might be in for a two-fer as he heard Q439 call the Polecat Creek and then the Coleman's Mill signals just to the north on his scanner. Which train would make it first?

After a little bit of trial and error with trying to guess which one would come first, an EMD headlight popped its nose through the curve as GP40-2 4450 Road Slug 2316 and GP40-2 6929 led a northbound work train with a caboose on the tail end. A couple of minutes later Q439 made its way through the curve at a good clip behind SD70MAC 4706 ex-L&N U23B 3314 and HLCX SD40-2 6211.
