Balloons and stuff filmed in 420 and 1000 fps. Once again, thank you Martin for assisting!

  • one question. Do you have to buy a software to put the video in slow mo?

  • nope, it happens instantly on the camera.

  • I'm thinking about getting this camera, looks awesome!!... 2 questions though, anyone feel free to help!

    1. does the camera come with all the software to view/edit/stitch these videos together, or do all the people making these videos have extra software?

    2. do you know if casio (or any other company) is coming out with a camera that competes with the EX-FH-20 soon? wouldn't want to buy it and something better come out next week!

    Thanks...

  • hi! thanks.

1: no it doesn't, what you see here has been edited afterwards with software that didnt come with the camera. however, movies that you record can be cut to your liking by using the camera. nice for cutting down slowmo sequences.

2: casio has the EX-FH20 and EX-F1, and they also have pocket cams with some of the same features. as for other manufacturers i don't know, sorry!

  • my fucking god.

I ordered this camera earlier today, expecting the quality to be really crap at 1000 fps. It's surprisingly good for a relatively cheap high-speed cam.

I just hope that a "Casio Exilim FH20 is the same as a "Casio Exilim EX-FH20".

  • Well, at 1000 fps there are only certain things you'll be able to film and get a somewhat useable result with, but it can be done. 420 fps is my favourite. And yes, there's no camera called FH20 so you've most likely ordered the EX-FH20. Enjoy it, it's fun not only for videos, but pictures as well.

  • Why is the 1000 fps footage in lower quality and smaller frames?

  • @IIarcon2II Everywhere I looked, the quality differences were mentioned. Not sure if I checked Casio's website, though I did read reviews and viewed samples on youtube. At about $250 (what I paid), it is an amazing camera bargain!

  • I have this camera and it is the funnest camera ever! It takes pretty good stills as well, not to mention the 40fps burst mode. I also have a DSLR and assortment of lenses but I include the Exilim when I go on shoots. Some things can only be done with the Casio high speed cameras.

  • neatstuff

  • they do mention the quality change i researched this like 24/7 for a week

  • i no that was a long time ago ive gotten the camera and its awesome. i probably know way more than you

  • the quality is horrible. the slower the motion (higher framerate you set), the smaller the dimensions of the video, and lower resolution it is. you can clearly see it in the fps (framerate) in the video. casio doesnt mention anywhere on any of the company's websites about worse quality for the slow motion. this is how companies screw you. advertise "cool" features, and don't tell you the down sides to them. you can get cams that record high res slow mo, but they're several thousand $'S.

  • water ballons looking awesome

  • No. The video records at xxxx frames per second. The video should already be in slow motion, that is recorded at a high FPS.

  • how good is the quality
