Anyone notice the great Paul Carrack (Tempted) on the keyboard? He played keyboards on the 'Flesh and Blood' album

@pawnsacrifice1 Yeah it was the late great Alan Spenner who also played Bass on Avalon and Manifesto. He was 22 in 1970 when he played on the studio album for 'Jesus Christ Superstar', his funky bassline in 'What's the Buzz' is epic.

@dwtime Also the Smiths first album if I remember correctly.

The audience on the front step--they're facing the wrong way ! They're stil waiting for the band to come on...
-
I am pretty sure Gary Tibbs didn't actually play bass on the studio version

My favourite Roxy Music song. They came back and out did the new romantics at their own game!

feckin genius

is Tibbs the bassist that was "fired" by Bryan for too much showmanship? Seems likely...Sylvian, Karn and Japan were obviously in thrall...
-
Who's the extremely crappy dancing second guitarist? He and Tibbs make this a gay performance. Gary should drop the r in his name.

Roxy could have given Duran a run for their money if they had continued.

Was Garry Tibbs in Adam and the Ants

@nwlman - Yes, Gary did join Adam & The Ants after Roxy. Adam always made it clear he was a huge Bryan Ferry/ Roxy fan, I remember reading in an interview that he once wrote to Ferry in the early 70's and got a reply or signed photo which he treasured - whether this had any baring on Mr Tibbs joining I don't know. Probably not.
