@naijafefe It's blue acrylic paint. I believe he started with the portrait in graphite, moved on to acrylic washes then finished with oil paint.

why is that liquidy blue thing that runs down the face????????????

I love the final result! I also utilize acrylic as background color base, or dark base of a detailed part of the painting. I gonna experiment more, thanks for shared!
