@sakipost Because these deluded people want to live in the 7th century, AND they want to drag the rest of us with them. Their ideas did not work out for the Bedouin tribes living 15 centuries ago in the tough deserts of Arabia. Inhabitants of Afghanistan were originally Zoroastrians and Buddhists, until dear Islam was shoved down their throats by sword or jizya. If you are a nice and moderate Muslim, good on you. Please don't recite adhan in my ears or circumcise me without my consent.

@osamabinladin4u There is a BIG difference between criticising or mocking an ideology, and ad hominem. No I didn't start a debate because I know that due to your mind set I won't be able to convince you. If I refer to the hadith and Koran regarding the wars waged, or genocides (mass killings), slavery, and sexual perversion by the prophet (S.W.T) you'll try to deny or justify all of them, something I used to do myself years ago. I’m already familiar with the Muslim response to all of these.

@Aglahad Hey. Got ur msg and I'll reply to it right here if U don't mind. 1st of all, I am one of those people whose ancestors were pagans before Islam arrived in our area. And if WE tell YOU that our direct ancestors willingly embraced Islam, then u have to take our word for it since we'd know our own history better than you would. Also, if you're American as U claim to be, then read about American war of independence to see how people react when an outsider treats their homeland as an "asset"

@Aglahad Also, implying that Chechens became Muslims by force is turning a blind eye to their overall history. They're a tough, freedom oriented people who've suffered tremendously under the Russians for the last two centuries, and still they go on resisting. I can't picture people who have suffered the deportation of their entire population to Siberia, who've suffered heavy loss to lives at the hands of Russians for centuries as being the people who'd allow themselves to be converted forcefully

@Aglahad What's your definition of "always"? Because as far as history goes, Russia invaded Chechnya in 1830's under czar Nicholas, and Chechens have been struggling for freedom ever since then. If all other Baltic states got their freedom, why not Chechnya? Its not because it's an integral part of Russia since Chechens are historically, linguistically, religiously, and ethnically different than Russians. It's bcz Chechnya has vast oil, gas, mineral deposits which Russia doesn't want to let go

@meinIndus All semantics. Who says the territory wasn't always Russian or at least under Slavic control? It wasn't until the Golden Horde arrived that the area became Muslim. So who is right? The people who forced Islam after Mongol expansion or the Imperialist Russians? The percentage of Christian or Muslim Palestinian doesn't matter? You and I know full well that motives on both sides are way different. Christians tolerate Israelis A LOT more than Muslims and vice versa.

@Aglahad That's my point! You ARE focusing on Islam even though it's history is pretty benign when compared to histories of other religions/civilizations. Chechnya is not trying to "secede" from Russia, it is fighting for independence after Russians invaded it! And what's the issue with the % of Christian Palestinians? The point is that they want freedom just as much as Muslim Palestinians do which proves that need for independence and freedom is a universal one, not limited to Muslims.
