Doha, Qatar (CNN) -- From its humble origins with few natural resources, Qatar found vast hydrocarbon wealth - oil in the 1940s, natural gas in the 1970s.
In 2008, at the height of the global financial and economic crisis, Qatar launched its 2030 National Vision - to invest its hydrocarbon wealth wisely, diversify its economy and to develop an advanced society with high standard of living for all its citizens.
With an abundance of riches, Qatar's development is all about laying solid foundations and avoiding the pitfalls of unmanaged growth.

  • @umpire94 Qatari people are driver nicely, but Indian people who just came with indian license they drive crazy

  • @umpire94 Im in qatar an thats true the drivers are crazy especially the indians

  • What is the plan to improve the driving skills of the people in Qatar? I'm sorry but the people are idiots, lacks courtesy and diffently lacks the concerns for safety. I'm going to say this is a classic rag to riches story. If it wasn't for the crazy drivers and rude ignorant people, this would be a nice place.

  • Its Indians everywhere...check out the baground score music......

  • It's not a case of build it and they will come.

It's about developing the country so that the people of the country will be educated and make a positive difference in the world.

    :)
