Ms.Guillem is by far the best female dancer the world has had in the longest time...her incredible feet and use of them,her great legs and extensions...super human,great placement and control...she lives on point it seems...and her musicality...well not in this clip since there is no sound...:-((
Saw her in class in Paris with Jacqueline Fynnart-maker of ballerinas...just mindblowing....!!! and in peformance this woman is just perfection.....!!!...:-))

j'adore la danse et j'adore cette variation. Elle est magnifique!

No-one, but no-one does the tours en attitude as gloriously as Sylvie Guillem. She does them in a beautifully "risky" way, slowly, almost appearing to lean over, coming around to front again before the leg comes down to earth. The head and eyes come around in advance of the completed turn. Many other dancers seem to truncate the turn three-quarters of the way around.

There have been SO MANY posts that is not Sylvie but there are three other clips on here that I posted from that same night...including one where Walter Cronkite introduces her and presents her with an award and she has the same (although shorter) hairstyle she has now..except that this was 20 something years ago. When she appears onstage, a VERY young Sylvie Guillem appears!

Please help me track this music... Anyone know where I can get it? Or at least what the piece is called, composer details etc... Any help would be appreciated xxx

The music is by Auber. I have seen it on several CD's.
