  • Update......... I just shot some new video to post up and will edit in the next couple days. I have all the plans pretty much finished, just need some cleaning up. They are only two dimensional at this time, but will continue to work on them.

    Regards, JD

  • Having some PC issues while trying to edit video. Going to load win 7, and downloaded Power Producer 9. Hopefully I'll be up and running soon. MD

  • In the video, I was using a 2" x 72" belt.

  • Here is some general info that some have asked for. I misplaced my binder with all my info, but it turned up yesterday. The grinder has a 2hp, 1800 rpm motor, 6" drive wheel in back, tracking wheel is 3 1/2 x 2 1/2, rubber contact wheels are 2", 3" and large one is 8". Hope this helps........

  • Hey all...... I'm working on plans!!!! (and a better video) Will be forthcoming with

some info that has been requested also. Sorry to be dragging my feet. I have been

super busy these last two years.

  • isnt it a shame the amount of awesomeness that will be confined to any single person at any given time.

of coarse this massively talented entity, whom ambitions enough to complete such a device will almost surely not have the time to create the detailed plans that so many of us would relish to get a hold of.

And such misfortunes happen all the time.

  • Wow...Guess I don't know how to take this one! I'm one of those guys that has to do everything myself, so I have little or no time to have a life. I am on the other hand close to finishing a project at home that will free up my life again. I do plan on making up some cool plans that I was thinking of selling on ebay or something just to cover my time. ( few bucks) Would like to make plans and video to go with. I have made some more improvements to the grinder and have a few more planned. JD

  • I can tell you are an accomplished metalworker by the quality of the machine in all its aspects, from the design to the welding job. I hope you will have plans available for sell some time soon.

  • Are the plans any nearer completion? ...... thanks

  • Capital A for Awesome.

  • Fantastic. Reminds me a lot of the UNI Grinder...

  • ohhh she's so pretty, I want 7.......

  • where did you get the steel tubing?

  • @taiden grizzly catalog has a 10 inch wheel for around 87.00 or so. just look up their knife grinders and their other grinders and go to the parts page. the idler wheels on their 2x27 grinder are available for around 25.00. You will need a 1.75" OD bearing to us them tho. I am going to try using them as the power and tracking wheels.

  • I just watched your other video. This is an amazing grinder. I am curious where you sourced your parts. I understand that you are busy but if you could take the time to chat with me about it that would be great.
