@ChrisReiben Why not just use autofocus for sequences like this?
-
Hahaha 3:35. Gotta love that run.

@ChrisReiben I might get the kit 20 and sell the FF online and get D|focus. I've read good things about it, and its only $140. The gears are adjustable and replaceable. Have you ever messed with D|focus?

@ChrisReiben keeping the focus isnt to tough as long as you know what your subject will be doing and what marks hes going to hit.

isnt it impossibly hard to keep focus whilst moving? i try to do this but it looks crap...

@ItsCallum It is very difficult in improvised movements. You would need someone who specializes in conducting focus. The best to have an external monitor with a larger picture to get to see better what's in focus
and what is not. Good luck.

@ChrisReiben then how did you do it?
ItsCallum 1 year ago
@ItsCallum In the video there are several times when the focus is lost. Monitored on camera, a person operating the camera in the grip and the other person adjusting focus. The cameraman is giving directions to focusman. Note also that both are film students, so they have some experience in controlling the focus.
