  • I would like to add that Dale's guitar was modified with more powerdul pickups (I think), his guitar had the thickest strings possible, and his Fender Showman amps were specially designed by Leo Fender to withstand the powerful pickups, thick strings and the high volume. Dick Dale was a killer player with killer equipment!
