2000 silverado z71 5.3l with force exhaust revs

my 00 silverado with force exhaust and no tailpipe. snapped rev limiter twice. the muffler is sold by summitracing.com and is about $25 out the door. using the stock stainless pipe, i cut off the muffler and welded in a 14" section of 3" pipe, then welded the muffler on and fabbed a new hangar. also the truck has a stage 1 pcm and a K&N FIPK gen II

i think thats cuz theres no tip so it vibrates the bed im gonna step up to a magnaflow and run a tip out the side instead
