Terry Toons

TERRY TOONS--no "repurposing" here, just a sincere attempt to make some classic TV cartoon characters a little more fleshed out.

At one time, MTV Networks was developing an updated version of Heckle & Jeckle as was Nickelodeon with Mighty Mouse. So Viacom Productions tapped S4 Studios to try a little developin' with three other characters from the Terry Toons Library. So we present to you some CGI-inspired versions of Hashimoto, Sydney the Elephant and The Astronut, their lives intersecting through the intervention of a common housefly.

These very 2D characters work and move surprisingly well in 3D. If I could presume to offer my take on it, don't make them so reflective and round like shiny blobs. Pull back on that aspect a little, and I think they'd be easier on the eyes. Overall, I'd say you could make them work in the CG medium.
