Today, only half of Americans are college graduates. In low-income communities, the numbers are considerably worse. Did you graduate from college despite having some other challenges on your plate? Good for you. Seriously. Share your story at good.is/educationsuccess.

  • I love how I just stumbled onto this video and I just started college and was feeling the pressures. This is so motivational. I will work harder and if i ever feel down about my work, I'll just watch this. This is going under favorites.

  • @jdpiehl Of course not, it can be also argued that school in general worsens the mind because the way things are taught make students closed minded. By not having creativity to advance the field, it just becomes a factory of future workers.

  • @finnsia Oh no, I spilt my milk!

  • Quote the Raven

    Nevermore

  • People. The idea here is that generally, education is a good thing. And generally, a lot of people have to/had to work hard to achieve this, just like how people work hard to achieve anything at all.

  • @jdpiehl Of course there are things that you CAN'T do with no certificate, as medicine or enginery. But I know really good designers who are not "heroes".

In photograpy an illustration also, if you have a nice portfolio you don't need any certification than your own work.

  • @jdpiehl i think the video was trying to focus more on the fact that we need more lawyers, scientists, engineers, people with trade skills, etc. which requires a degree or a diploma

  • I'm in grade 9, and watching this video inspired me to finish my homework :)

  • Going to college doesn't make you a hero. Doing something to better the world is what makes you a hero. And you don't need to graduate from college to do something good. True, college can strengthen your skills, talents, and understandings in order to do more good. But don't think you have to graduate from college do what is good. Just go out there and do it!

  • @DrakeMagnum the font is nice. :) And the color choices as well as the texture. It was well done.
