Well, food is food. There are no meat sections in the wilderness. So you're really gonna have to get your hands dirty and kill some game for food. Animal cruelty won't be the first thing on your mind in real life scenarios. It's survival. And that's only human nature. Little known fact, the consumption of protein literally took mankind a long way from just eating fresh kill to cooking it as soon as fire was discovered. Consuming meat helped us move up the food chain. That's just my opinion.
