Cute Baby Kitten: The Miracle Of Life!

This is a tribute to our special baby miracle kitten. We rescued her at only one day old [Born May 22, 2007]. Having never been blessed with any nutrition from her mother cat, as she was abandoned, left to die and was barely breathing. She was born at a local dump, and was found on the cement floor. Older sibling kittens swatted at her little body as if she were merely a mouse or toy. At first, I thought no different until closer inspection proved me wrong. We didn't think she would make it through the night.

Bottle feeding every day, and bathing every night, we thought she was pulling through. But- her weight proved otherwise and her eyes had a serious infection due to her bad living conditions when she was born. A vet check told us she had a severe kidney infection as well, and she was surprisingly still alive. The vet asked if we would like put her to sleep because he doubted she would survive much longer. I asked if she was in much pain, and he told me no, not if we put her on some medication. So, we never gave up.

To everyones surprise- she is still with us today! A beautiful, healthy seal-point kitty cat named Aurora.

Sure I could try to do that for you! Nope, she hasn't had any kitten because I believe in spay/neuter because there are enough homeless, helpless cats out there who need homes already. I don't want to add to those numbers, especially after what I experienced with her and knowing that it happens on a daily basis. :)
