Love the sabotage cat! Love the popular etymology of "sabotage." There's several, and I think linguistic history is more dynamic than a single answer. Anyway, my favorite is chucking a sabot into the machinery. So close to Mario Savio's speech: "There comes a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, that you're so sick at heart, that you can't take part, and you've got to throw your bodies upon the gears, the levers, and the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop!"
