I like the 2nd song much more than the 1st one

Oh that Loretta Haggers!

I think one of Mary Kay's best movies was "Captain Ron", however it shows a little too much skin when she's in the shower. I've known her all my life, she's my second cousin. I haven't seen her in about 5 years though.

I have both albums on vinyl also. Mary Kay Place could have had quite a career as a singer if she pursued that instead of acting.

I found the Mary Kay Place lp "Aimin' To Please" yesterday at the Salvation Army for $1.50 but I didn't buy it. I came on here to hear what she sounds like. I didn't know she was the country singer from Mary Hartman Mary Hartman. That's cool. Good show! It's on dvd now btw, like the first 25 episodes at least. Thanks for the vid.

That sounds so much like Neko Case!!!!!!!

Takes me back. I luv Mary Kay; background vocals by Anne Murry & Emmy Lou Harris.
I've both albums on vinyl, and love them dearly. Her jokey corn-pone delivery doesn't destroy the songs nor hide her natural talent - she coulda quit her day job. I see a compilation cd came out in 2001.
