really??? i thought tango origin came from italy...over half of the country is of italian descent...but i dont think it came from cuba (i could be wrong)

I am quite prepared to look at any source describing the origin of the tango. I quote from Ned Sublette's book(cuba and its music pg327)"though the tango that was popularized worldwide was Argentine, it is well documented and generally accepted that the rhythm of the tango-interchangeably called habanera-had travelled from the port city of Havana to the port city of Buenos Aires."

yes the tango is incredibly sexy. Both the "rumba" and the tango originated in cuba.the tango was called son habanera and was taken to the bordellos of buenos
aires via paris by french sailors."Rumba" as it is danced in the west is actually son from which developed the mambo,chachacha and salsa.Real rumba comes from west africa, probably the congo and is of three types-guaguanco,yambu and columbia and is very raunchy(source:cuba and its music-ned sublette)

Well I like this style but neotango is a more flexible more frestyle.. check the videos searching neotango .

So make salsa dance to tango music without breaking anyone legs. :). yes there is no offical rules, but there are some rules to do argentian tango in the right way. Not matter Whom Theese dancers are. But this performance or improvisation is not good at all.Are they the best? :) Did you watch or heard about any other tango dancers?
