I personally don't care if the Lion King is a rip off. I grew up with it, I love it, it's a beautiful film. Maybe they had clearance to re-make it, who knows. I don't care. We know Disney bases their movies off fairy tales, we've known this forever, they've never been completely original, but we love the movies and the beautiful animation so what's the big deal? They could have thought it up on their own, while still basing it on Hamlet. You people just like getting all bent out of shape.

Errrrr...... Kimba is about a lion that learns to SPEAK ENGLISH, along with all the other animals in the jungle-- and they all become vegetarians so they all become friends!

I don't see that in The Lion King; quite the opposite in fact, since Mufasah explains how carnivores are part of the ecosystem. We didn't see what the lions ate after the ending, but I have a feeling the other lions wouldn't be too keen on a diet of grubs and earthworms; and they never spoke with any humans!

Can I say that I think Simba and Kimba aren't too similar. The only thing I notice is the fact that their fathers die. Simba isn't gonna go and free pigs and cows anytime soon. That's Kimba's job. Kimba didn't have any evil uncles, did he? Simba didn't swim to Africa, so now a dare. I dare you to count the things Disney riped-off from this show, beside the baboon, the lions, and the dads dying.
