Pretty much the only people who figured out to use a Power Bomb on the glass tube right away were the ones who remembered it from the Super Metroid commercial.

What awaits in Maridia? Oh nothing much, just plenty of nasty sea critters armed with exoskeletons and nasty attitude. Also, there's some stories about a huge crustacean that shreds anything that comes within 50 yards of it. It it said that nothing can pierce its shell!
