  • Great video, This was one of the firsts on youtube about the DS, my childhood dream car.

I would like to ask something. I will have a DSuper 5 in 2 weeks :) , and I am going to use it in Estonia. Do you think I need double heating installed there? Mine has the default one, but I've heard, that its useful to have 2 in colder countries. What do you think?

    Thanks

    Laszlo

  • DS sold in scandinavia alwys had extra heater fitted on the right hand (with no fan).

I think with this option you get really warm and confortable even when its really cold.....

I dont drive DS:es in the winter anymore....cant keep up with the rust eating away these nice cars...

  • This was a really great car.

I had it for only one year, then sold it and bought a 1964 DS19M....wich I am going to drive soon...

  • This is the way I always drive my Ds....

  • In reply to my own comment: I guess Citroen knew this. That's why they named the car SM. It likes to be beaten :)

  • A fun video to watch. It's too bad it's so short. Any more of this video?

  • D Model Citorens handled so smoothly because they were kinda big but light.

  • I have had a lot of different Citroens since 1979: 2cv, Dyane, GS, DS, CX, BX, XM, 11 in total. My cars tended to break down if I drove them too carefully, especially the pre-'90 models. I don't know why, but if you drive them harder, they don't break down. Well, that's my experience.

  • Amazing car!!

  • Thanks, then I think I need the extra heating.

I will have a heated garage for the car, and the chassis is restored so i hope to keep it rost-free for a while. But I know how hard they rost, so we will see...

  • I would like to use it daily, not to store in a garage all winter, till the next citroen meeting.

I think this car worths daily driving, using it as it was built to be used, not only polishing on weekends.

  • Thanks for a great video clip. I'm glad you mounted the canera securely. So much of YouTube is poorly shot. What's the location? Cheers!
